Licensing Information

As an amusement machine operator we are required to fulfil certain obligations regarding licences and permits for gambling machines as well as music systems.
We must also inform our sites of their obligations when supplying equipment.

CLUB & FRUIT MACHINES
Amusement Machine Licence Duty (AMLD) to pay on each fruit machine based on stake and jackpot prize.
There are some exclusions, please refer to the HMRC site for further information on categorisation and tariffs.

MUSIC SYSTEMS

Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) collects and distributes royalties on behalf of the record companies and performers granting licences for playing sound recordings in public.
Performing Right Society (PRS for Music) collects and distributes the royalties to its members.
To play any kind of music from live performance to music on-hold you must ensure that you hold a relevant licence for the premises, this also includes televisions and projector systems. There are some exclusions, please refer to the PPL & PRS site for further information on categorisation and tariffs.
